Tips for NCCHC Accreditation for Your Facility

June 5, 2026    /    News

NCCHC accreditation requires continuous quality improvement in mental health care delivered at your facility.

A continuous quality improvement (CQI) program includes regular meetings of a quality improvement committee to identify aspects of mental health care to be monitored or addressed. Once an area of concern is identified, the committee develops and implements a clinical corrective action plan, then monitors the results.

The plan must include an annual review of suicide deaths, suicide attempts, self-harm, and other serious incidents, conducted to identify trends and necessary corrective actions.

That’s where EcoSecurity Utensil comes in: this disposable utensil is specially designed to reduce dangerous self-harm incidents, improve eating experiences for patients, and cut costs associated with injuries. Try the safest and most humane option and make progress towards your NCCHC certification!
